A. No license required and yes, provided you are over the age of 21 or have at least one of the crew 21 years or over you are away!
Q. Driving the boat:
A. One of our qualified skippers will spend about one hour briefing your crew on the operations, safety features and navigation of the vessel. Our skipper will spend a short time with you on the water while underway to ensure you are confident and happy. Then away you go!
Q. How do we keep in touch/If we require assistance?
A. All vessels are fitted with VHF 2 way radio. Apart from two scheduled calls to 'base' (one in the morning and another in the afternoon), we are on standby 24 hours a day.
Q. What do we need to bring:
Food, drinks, personal towels and clothing and binoculars. Everything
else is supplied. Ice & bait available at our Marina. Let us
know if you require wine glasses or wish to hire kayaks, fishing
gear or extra life jackets.
Q. Can we bring our boat/Do we get a dinghy?
A. Each vessel is supplied with a 12 foot dinghy (optional 6HP outboard motor, see pricing), 25 litres Dinghy fuel included with hired motor, 2 crab pots and yabby (crayfish) pumps, all in one price! Bring your own boat provided under 500kg and less than 6m in length. Fenders and tow rope too.
Q. About or cruising area:
A. From our marina at Tin Can Bay (in Snapper Creek), to the Kingfisher Resort on Fraser Island (approximately 80 Klms as the crow flies). Add on all the creeks and anchorages on the way there and you could cover over 200 Klms of waterway.
No spectacular buildings or water traffic to annoy those who want a paradise of peace & quiet, just a wonderful feeling of getting back to nature.
